4th Annual Fishing Tournament

The Bearded Clam Waterfront Restaurant and Tiki Bar, Inc. 4th Annual Bearded Clam Classic Fishing Tournament benefitting the Manatee County Humane Society is quickly approaching! It's less than a month away to be exact. This year's tournament includes both Redfish and Trout categories. 

Entry fee: $200 per boat up to 4 anglers $50 for each additional angler 2 maximum per boat.

Captain's meeting: Friday, August 19, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. at The Bearded Clam Waterfront Restaurant and Tiki Bar located at The Ramada Waterfront Hotel

Check out can occur any time after the mandatory captain's meeting on Friday, August 19, 2016 at 6:00 p.m.

Weigh-in: Friday, August 19 from 8:00p.m. to 10:00p.m. and Saturday, August 20 starting at 2:00 p.m. Check-in with boat number at the Entry sign, east at Marker 16, to the restaurant, hotel and marina, no later than 3:00 p.m. 

Awards Ceremony for the prize money and plaques. Dinner Buffet (complimentary tickets for each team member), Drinks, Raffle Prizes and live entertainment will follow weigh-ins. All participants and family members are encouraged to spend the night in the Ramada Waterfront Hotel Saturday, swim in the pool, dock fishing boats on the east dock wall and enjoy the festivities.

Prize Money:  100% payback on entry fees for each category 

Prizes for each species are guaranteed and as follows:

1st  – 50% of Entry fee

2nd – 33% of Entry Fee

3rd -  17% of Entry Fee  

Example: $200/boat 20 boats entered = $4,000 total entry fees collected.  Payouts for each category: 1st - $1,000, 2nd - $660.00, 3rd - $340.00

The Bearded Clam Classic’s proceeds benefit the Humane Society of Manatee County.

The Bearded Clam Classic is headquartered at The Bearded Clam Waterfront Restaurant and Tiki Bar at the Ramada Sarasota Waterfront Hotel. The Ramada Waterfront Hotel has set up a room block for Bearded Clam Classic participants. If you're planning on staying at the Ramada make sure you book early, so you'll receive the discounted Bearded Clam Classic rate.
